Our Statement of Faith

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

God

We believe God is the eternal, almighty creator of the physical and spiritual realms. He is three persons in one being. Father, Son, and Spirit have always existed and will always exist together simultaneously. His character determines the moral standard of all beings and he alone judges the universe. Among his characteristics are: independence, immutability, eternity, omnipresence, infinity, transcendence, spirituality, invisibility, knowledge, wisdom, truthfulness, faithfulness, goodness, love, mercy, grace, patience, holiness, peace, righteousness, jealousy, wrath, sovereignty, omnipotence, freedom, perfection, blessedness, beauty, glory, and immanence. God is king and he reigns in sovereignty. No one can compete with God, he has no rival.

Humanity

We believe that God created everything, including humans. He created them to bear his image, and rule over his creation. He created them male and female and gave them dominion over the world. Adam and Eve knowingly and willingly rejected God’s rule to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and in-so-doing brought sin into the world leaving the earth cursed and humanity spiritually and hereditarily tainted by sin.

Sin

We believe sin is the #1 problem in this world. It is what lost us the Garden of Eden and doomed mankind to the toil and pain of the world we now know. Sin separates us from God because of his holiness and righteousness. No amount of good works can make up for a single sin because in God’s moral economy good does not make up for bad. Because God is perfect, perfection is demanded. Even 1 sin (like Adam and Eve’s bite out of the fruit) is enough to separate you from God for eternity.

Family

We believe the family unit is God’s best plan for expanding his kingdom down through the generations. Families probably won’t always look the same throughout the years, but the older always ought to teach the younger the tenants of the faith. The family should be fought for, and nurtured, and defended so that young Christians can have a place to learn, and make mistakes, and find successes, gain experiences and be trained in a way that will prepare them for being a Christian adults; and for being part of God’s will and calling to share His message with the world.

Salvation

We believe that salvation comes to all who call upon the name of the Lord. Salvation is not something earned, it is something asked for and received. It comes through believing in who Jesus is and what he has done, then applying it personally. Salvation is a once-and-for-all event, meaning once God has saved you, you are saved forever. Salvation happens when God chooses you and you choose him. With salvation comes forgiveness of past, present, and future sin, as well as the permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit (God himself), and a permanent place in God’s presence for eternity. Each individual must choose salvation because it requires repentance, belief, and surrender; therefore you cannot choose salvation for someone else, you must help them choose it for themselves.

Bible

We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired word of God written by dozens of people over thousands of years. We believe it teaches and contains every principle needed for a rich life with God here on earth. The Bible is complete, 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. We believe it is historically, archeologically, and literarily verified and completely accurate to it’s intended objective.

Evangelism

We believe evangelism is God’s plan for saving this world and bringing everyone into his family that he will. Jesus told his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in God’s name. Therefore, evangelism is every Jesus-follower’s commission. There are some who are supernaturally gifted to accomplish this, and others who are more naturally inclined to do so, but every Christian ought to experience the beauty and privilege of bringing others into salvation.

Church

The church and the family unit form a necessary and beautiful symbiosis of discipleship and evangelism. A Christian without a church is like a wolf without a pack, even if they have a family. We believe that the local church is a very important and impactful part of every Christian’s spiritual journey. Believers should not only attend a local God fearing and Bible believing church, but they should also serve to further the Lord’s kingdom.
